Why not become
a PRIDE volunteer?
PRIDE
volunteers visit the homes of PRIDE
alarm users 4 weeks after installation and then
once every year.
As a PRIDE
volunteer mileage, and reasonable expenses are paid.
What would I be doing?
- Checking that the PRIDE
alarm works properly. (Full training given)
- Checking the details of the
user (name,address,etc...)
- Completing a questionnaire
on how the user feels now,how the PRIDE alarm
had been installed,etc...
- Recording any incidents where
the PRIDE
alarm had been used.
- Passing on to the co-ordinator
any concerns regarding the security of the users
home.
- Every 2 years change the
key fob battery.
What skills are required?
- Honesty.
- Reliability.
- Friendliness.
- And a willing to help the
elderly.
An enhanced criminal records bureau check will be
mabe before you can visit a PRIDE
user. This process is free.
