Why not become a PRIDE volunteer?
PRIDE volunteers visit the homes of PRIDE alarm users 4 weeks after installation and then once every year.
As a PRIDE volunteer mileage, and reasonable expenses are paid.

What would I be doing?

  • Checking that the PRIDE alarm works properly. (Full training given)
  • Checking the details of the user (name,address,etc...)
  • Completing a questionnaire on how the user feels now,how the PRIDE alarm had been installed,etc...
  • Recording any incidents where the PRIDE alarm had been used.
  • Passing on to the co-ordinator any concerns regarding the security of the users home.
  • Every 2 years change the key fob battery.
What skills are required?
  • Honesty.
  • Reliability.
  • Friendliness.
  • And a willing to help the elderly.
An enhanced criminal records bureau check will be mabe before you can visit a PRIDE user.
